The Academy has received a major boost from an unnamed Sudanese philanthropist who has donated two new buses at a cost of $US140,000 for the the use of the Academy and a $US75,000 donation on top.

Majak D'Agoot who is a senior member of the Board of Governors of the Malek Academy said: "This is a wonderful gesture from a gentleman based in Sudan and both of the buses will be put to great use.

"We will now be able to transport the children around South Sudan and have the opportunity to take them out on field trips which is very important for children based in a residential school.

"We cannot thank the individual concerned enough and his donation will also be put to good use in purchasing vital equipment for the Academy."
