Ben Tegg has been appointed as the first full time Director of the Derek Chappell Foundation and will take up his post on 1st December.

Ben Tegg has 18 years experience in the charity and social development sector. Having worked for many years on projects using sport for social change most recently Ben has gained experience of international development as Football and Sports Partnership Manager at Sport Relief and as Head of Football for 1Goal, which campaigned on education issues as FIFA's nominated charity for the 2010 South Africa World Cup. Derek Chappell said: "Ben has considerable experience of fundraising in the charity sector and it is important going forward that we are able to attract new funding streams to support the ongoing growth of the Malek Academy. "A considerable amount has been achieved in the last two years but we have reached the point where we need a fulll time Director to help us to attract the funding we need to achieve our ambitions for the Malek Academy as a centre of educational excellence in South Sudan."
